SUMNER POINT MARINA LOCATION DESCRIPTIONS IN RUM CAY, BAHAMAS

Rum Cay, the secret jewel of the Bahamas.   Come and see for yourself why so many celebrities are buying land on this remote island with a population around 100.  Ark has 10 SUP boards on the island ready for you to experience Mother Nature at its best.  

With eight different surf breaks around the island, surf is almost always guaranteed…with no one around.  Located on the eastern most edge of the Bahamas, the surf can get triple overhead on one side of the island and waist high on the next.  From reef breaks to Sandy Point, the surf goes off!

Rum Cay’s salt pond offers the opportunity to paddle in pristine flat water. Here you can gather skin-enhancing mud found in bricks under the water’s surface and indulge yourself in its natural ability to enrich the skin.  This is not your ordinary “mud”, it is the same high-end mud that spas charge hundreds of dollars for to exfoliate your skin and rejuvenate your body. 

The fishing and diving is top notch.  Most nights the guests find themselves in the massive kitchen helping prepare the unbelievable selection of lobster, conch and array of fish caught that day.  Dinners are usually prepared family style allowing everyone to brag about the size of their catch and the size of the waves they caught.

We offer ATVs to travel around the 12 mile island to accommodate your curiosity and a jet ski to help get around.  The marina’s two-story boat can carry all the SUP boards, personal surfboards, food and beverages and fishing and diving equipment to any location on the island.   Relax in style as we cater to your daily activities.

The air-conditioned bungalows are small and quaint with no TVs or radios.  In fact there are not many lights on the island at night allowing you to gaze at the millions of stars in silence and awe.
